About this item
Nutricology's Dietary Fiber Cellulose Powder is an excellent source of insoluble fiber derived from plant sources. Insoluble fibers regulate bowel transit time, bulk stool, and support the health of the gastrointestinal tract. Unlike soluble fiber, insoluble fiber does not feed undesirable bacteria well and is not readily fermented into short chain fatty acids. While it has no effect on cholesterol levels, insoluble fiber inactivates many intestinal toxins and may support balanced intestinal microbiology. Cellulose also maintains GI health by gently 'scrubbing' the walls of the intestines, removing buildup and undesirable toxins. High intake of insoluble fiber is associated with a decreased risk of unfavorable conditions of the colon.
Carbohydrates, Dietary Fiber, Cellulose. This product is the purest obtainable. It is free of all common allergens (antigens) and does not contain artificial additives.
As a dietary supplement, 1 teaspoon mixed in water, two or three times daily before meals or as directed by a healthcare practitioner. Sensitive individuals may want to start with less.
